Associations
The Global Methane Initiative is a partnership that today involves 43 countries. The objective is to promote the exchange of skills and technology between countries in order to reduce the methane consumption from various sources such as urban waste, agriculture and waste water. Anaerobic digestion plays an important role in the initiative, and the creation of a biogas subcommittee is planned. The main projects for agricultural anaerobic digestion are in Mexico, China and the Philippines.
